Getting started online with your real estate business isn’t always the most apparent or blueprint-driven process out there. In fact some folks find it damn frustrating, even to the point of giving up on the idea. To hell with that!

Marketing doesn’t have to be rocket surgery and the community can prove it…

The best angry email I’ve ever received

angry_man

I got the idea for this post while responding to the best angry email I’ve ever received. It was a response to my newsletter and the dude was pretty ticked off. I wasn’t sure how to take it all in but, he took the time to write me so I wrote him back…

After several email exchanges we uncovered a cause of his frustration and, frankly, I don’t think his frustrations are far off from a lot of Realtors out there. Maybe even you.

See, he was having a hard time getting started with a blog online. He was ready to leave ActiveRain but wasn’t sure where to start or what to do with Wordpress.

After some pounding on Google I came up with a site that had a pretty comprehensive collection of “how-to” Wordpress videos for him. Even better, the site was free.

In case you’re in the same boat as he was – frustrated and confused with setting up your own blog – here’s the Wordpress “how-to” videos you might want to bookmark.

Community driven “how-to”

After so many years in marketing and geek-stuff, I try to remember what Step 1 looked like. But, what would really be awesome is if you could help me and everyone else…

Post your best advice to someone starting out online, using the comment section. Feel free to link to resources, tools, or anything that you feel someone just starting out should take a look at.

Your community says thanks :)

Thanks, that’s why I read your stuff. I always get something out of it. Tell the angry guys thanks for getting fired up to do something about it, that is how stuff gets done.
