It’s not tough to believe: the United States is one of the most associated countries in the world. There’s a club for just about every one and every thing. Look hard enough and you’ll probably find one for left handed albino bowlers.

Ever considered how to use these (the clubs, not the albino bowlers) to boost your blog traffic?

Heavily associated people

Today, we’re associating on fast forward. The internet has accelerated the growth of many of these associations, even strated more than a few (I’ve heard). From a business standpoint, all this associating can mean a real boost in traffic to your blog.

Take MeetUp.com for example. There’s tons of folks looking to connect offline with similar interests.

Could some of these people, some of these groups, belong to your target market? Hells yeah. Makes sense to check these out. But even more simply…

More traffic from bloggers

Look for local bloggers (there might be two or three in your city) that meet up. One thing bloggers are always looking for is more traffic and there’s bound to be more than one way to promote each others blogs to your readerships.

Not only did Ricardo Bueno promote his blog this way, he grew a mortgage business. He located bloggers in his area and reached out to them, building friendships and profitable relationships.

What’s been your experience with connecting with local bloggers or other groups?
